Neet Exam Postponed New News

The Supreme Court has struck down an ancient directive which allowed only students who have passed class 12th through open schooling/distance education to appear for the NEET exam. This means that now even those who were not in regular 12th class due to various reasons will be able to appear for NEET exam. Along with this, Indian students studying MBBS abroad will also be able to get internship and medical license in India. This decision is quite responsible for those students who pursue medical education abroad due to low marks in NEET or due to other reasons.

Some other important decisions include:

Integrated Exam: NEET exam will now be held once every year, which started in 2020.
Right of State Governments: State governments will now have the right to admit 85% seats in medical colleges.
Reservation: There is a provision for reservation in NEET, which provides reserved seats to SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students.

Some important questions and issues related to NEET exam include:

Difficulty Level: The level of NEET exam is considered very difficult due to which students have to put more efforts in preparation.
Limited Seats: Due to limited seats in medical colleges, competition is very high.
Preparation Required: Students have to work hard for a long time to prepare for NEET

There are some important changes in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 2024, which are as follows:

• Change in tie-breaking rules: Earlier, NEET ranking was based on marks only, but now if the tie persists, marks in Chemistry will be counted, followed by marks in Physics. This change will benefit those candidates who have performed well in other subjects also.
• Allotment of Exam Centres: Now, candidates will be allowed to opt for 6 exam centers of their choice, earlier there were only 4 options. This will provide more convenience to the candidates in choosing the examination center closer to their home.
• Changes in the online application process: Some changes have been made in the online application process for NEET, such as candidates will have to register with their Aadhar card number and mobile number.
• Exam Date: NEET UG 2024 exam will be conducted on May 5, 2024.

Furthermore, the exam will be conducted offline (pen and paper mode) and will consist of four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English. Duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
