Bihar Police Exam Date News Today
Some important changes have been made in the examination for recruitment to the posts of constable and sub-inspector in Bihar Police. These changes will be implemented from the examination to be held in 2024.
Change in Exam Pattern:
- Earlier there were two separate written examinations – preliminary and main. Now there will be only one written examination which will have 200 questions.
- Each question will be of 1 mark.
- Duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- The exam will consist of objective multiple choice questions (MCQs).
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Candidates who qualify the written examination will have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- PET will include running, high jump, long jump and shot put.
- There will be different eligibility standards for men and women.
Changes in eligibility:
The age limit for constable posts has been fixed from 18 to 25 years.
The age limit for Inspector posts has been fixed from 21 to 27 years.
Educational qualification:
The minimum educational qualification for constable posts is 10th pass.
The minimum educational qualification for Inspector posts is Graduation degree (in any discipline).
Other important changes:
Now all the candidates have to apply online.
Offline applications will not be accepted.
The written examination fee has been fixed at ₹100 and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) fee has been fixed at ₹200.
