Change in Exam Pattern:

Online Examination: Now the examination will be conducted online, which earlier used to be offline.
Computer Based Test (CBT): Candidates have to appear in CBT.
Examination in two stages:
Preliminary Exam: It will consist of objective multiple choice questions (MCQs).
Main Examination: Only the candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be able to appear in the main examination. It will include MCQs and descriptive questions.
Changes in Eligibility:

Age Range:

• For General Candidates: 18 to 25 years
• For District Soldiers: 18 to 27 years
• For Scheduled Caste/Tribe (SC/ST): 28 years
• For Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27 years
• For Female Candidates: 30 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have 10th pass or equivalent.
Other important changes:

Examination Fee: Examination fee has to be paid at the time of online application.
Application Process: Now applications will be made completely online.
Exam Centre: Allotment of exam center will be done online.
