CTET Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Primary Level (Class 1-5): Candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in class 12th and must have 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Upper Primary Level (Class 6-8): Candidate must have a graduation degree with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Application Fee:

For General and OBC (NCL) candidates: ₹1,000 for one paper and ₹1,200 for both papers.
For SC, ST, and Divyang candidates: ₹500 for one paper and ₹600 for both papers.

CTET July Exam Changes:

It is being heard that from 2025, CTET exam can also be conducted for classes 9 to 12. Apart from this, it is also being told that now it will be mandatory for all the teachers working in government and private schools across the country to pass the CTET exam without giving the efficiency test.

The court has ordered that NCTE prepare the examination plan across the country in 4 weeks. Also, it will be mandatory to obtain B.Ed or equivalent degree for teacher recruitment. Without passing the exam, the teacher will not have a job.
